Product
The WOLTRONIC SNM is a “sensor network module” with which the condition of the railway power supply and other parts of the railway infrastructure can be monitored in an optimised manner. The WOLTRONIC SNM continuously records various physical parameters, which are of essential importance for increasing the reliability and safety of the railway system. The modules are installed on the catenary every 500 – 1000m.
Each module has sensors for data acquisition, measurement technology, data transmission and power management. By locating the individual modules, repair/countermeasures can be carried out with pinpoint accuracy in order to maximize the availability of rail operations.
In addition to communication between modules, each module also communicates with the local LTE network for real-time acquisition and evaluation of data.
Depending on the type, the WOLTRONIC SNM AC can be operated with HV alternating current and the WOLTRONIC SNM DC with HV direct current and can therefore be used flexibly.
