Power Distribution and Network
The current energy flow is determined by the electrical network architecture. The actual distribution can usually only be checked in existing networks at a few fixed measuring stations, which represent the entire consumption within a railway section. Due to the reduced number of measuring points, there is often no complete picture of the energy flows.
Energy Flow Measurement
With the help of the WOLTRONIC SNM, the electrical current flows can be measured very easily at all desired points on the contact wire. This is done on the one hand by an integrated measuring transducer, on the other hand, magnetic sensors are built into module, which secures the measurement using a dual redundancy measurement method. Based on the recorded parameters, the energy flow can then be precisely determined and thus the network topology can be optimized in the best possible way.
